Paint Masks and Artwork

Since the Red (originally) stock has to be within 1.2 ounces I do not have much weight to work with. The layout on this one will be a simple black base, gold marble with a logo on the side of the butt stock. This one is a Diamondback Hunter class action chambered in 30x47 so that is combined with a snake character.

The logo is laid out with the software for the vinyl cutter. The paint mask is cut out of a low tack vinyl

Here is the cut vinyl. Two will be made. One for each side of the stock.

The new Borden stock will get green candy with black with flames on the front and around the grip. The process will be black base, mask flames, silver base, remove paint masks, green candy coat, and clear coat.

The flames are laid out with the software for the vinyl cutter. The paint mask is cut out of a low tack vinyl.

Here are flames with the transfer tape applied. The grip flame will be joined together with masking tape once the flames are applied. And the very front of the stock will also be covered with tape.

Here is the second attempt at the flames. The flames for the grip were just not proportioned correctly. You can see on page 5 that it just doesn't look right so I went back an did it over.
